Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly considering ways to strengthen their attack ahead of 2025, with Sporting Lisbon forward Viktor Gyökeres emerging as a potential target.
Foot Mercato suggests that PSG’s sporting advisor Luís Campos has already initiated talks with the Swedish striker’s representatives. However, discussions with head coach Luis Enrique indicate the manager has some reservations about the move.
Meanwhile, SPORT reports that Barcelona are contemplating a €70 million offer for Gyökeres, potentially including a clause that would see him stay at Sporting on loan for another season.
Additionally, CaughtOffside claims Newcastle are eyeing Gyökeres as a replacement if Alexander Isak leaves the club, though this move seems unlikely to happen in the January transfer window.

The Daily Mail’s Sami Mokbel reports that Arsenal have reservations over a move to sign Gyökeres despite his incredible goalscoring record. This news comes off the heels of Martin Keown warning the Gunners not to push for the Sweden international.
When specifically asked about Gyökeres, Keown responded: “He’s not quick enough. And he wouldn’t have been quick enough in my day.”
According to a recent report from TBR Football, Gyökeres’ performance against Arsenal, where he failed to score, hasn’t diminished the Gunners’ interest in the Swedish forward. Arsenal still hold him in high regard and view him as one of several strikers they’re considering to bolster their attack next year.
It will be interesting to see how this transfer saga develops and whether or not Arsenal will make a serious push for Gyökeres.
