Young, promising and determined to be here at AC Milan. Ardon Jashari is, chronologically, the latest addition of a Rossoneri summer full of new faces. The Swiss midfielder just turned 23 years old (on 30 July to be precise), and he will bring a whole load of quality and experience to the renewed AC Milan midfield, becoming our third signing in that department after Samuele Ricci and Luka Modrić. Just like the Italian and the Croatian, the Swiss-born player (with Albanian roots, and parents originally from the Polog region of North Macedonia) will add different, yet complementary characteristics to Allegri's midfield which has more options than ever.
Jashari is a very dynamic and intense player, and he shows this in every phase of play. He is very flexible and can play as a midfielder or a playmaker, exhibiting his class in possession of the ball, especially at the start of the build-up in a fast and direct way. He is 1.81m tall and 80kg, making him an agile player with strong midfield presence, able to beat his opponent in duels with his physical prowess that shouldn't be underestimated. He mostly trusts his left foot, and he is able to read different scenarios, often resorting to long balls to switch up play.
Ardon began developing his qualities from a very young age, even from his very first steps in Baar and Zug. It was at Luzern, however, that Jashari rapidly climbed the rankings, right the way up to his first team debut on 31 July 2020, which was a win over Zurich. After a few seasons learning between the club's first and second team, he managed to get some more consistency between 2022 and 2024, years that saw him become part of the starting XI, getting his first caps for Switzerland's first team, and also his European debut, in the Conference League preliminaries.
After nine goals and 102 total appearances in four seasons, he changed both team and country, leaving Switzerland for the first time in the Summer of 2024 to join reigning Belgian champions, Club Brugge. He had a massive impact in the Pro League as he won the Player of the Year award after racking up 35 appearances and three goals throughout the season. He also won the Belgian Cup and made his Champions League debut. In this competition, he met AC Milan for the first time, but as an opponent (back on 22 October). He particularly stood out in the play-offs against Atalanta, named Man of the Match in the return leg in Bergamo.
And speaking of international experience: despite having the choice of representing three nations, Adron chose the one he was born in, Switzerland. After getting his first few appearances with the Under-21s, he made his first team debut in September 2022, in a Nations League game against the Czech Republic. He was also part of their Qatar World Cup side, where he only featured in their Round of 16 clash against Portugal. He also travelled to the 2024 EUROs, but didn't get any minutes. His fantastic season in Bruges meant that he once again made the cut, and this time he performed well in friendlies in June 2025, and he will continue competing for his country in the coming months. Ardon was determined to join AC Milan, also due to the fact that it was a part of his childhood: in the last few weeks, a photo of him as a child in the Terzo Anello of San Siro for AC Milan v Barcelona in the UCL has been all over social media. He also expressed his words of admiration for us and our stadium after our meeting last season. Jashari has football running through his veins and we are sure that he will become a fan favourite in no time at all. Welcome!
