FLW's Watford Fan Pundit Justin says he would be surprised if the club were to move for experienced right-back Cyrus Christie.

As per a recent Football League World exclusive, Championship duo QPR and Watford are both weighing up potential moves for Cyrus Christie after the experienced defender became a free agent earlier this summer.
The Hornets have made five signings and counting, including the exciting arrivals of Luca Kjerrumgaardand Bayern Munich prodigy Nestory Irankunda.
32-year-old Christie joined Swansea in November on a deal until the end of the season, but made just 11 Championship appearances.
Speaking to Football League World, Watford Fan Pundit Justin expressed his surprise at a potential deal for the right-back.
"I would be surprised if we signed a 32-year-old right-back," said Justin when asked whether the club should be more ambitious with their planning. "We do have a couple of players already in that position. And our signings over the summer have tended to be younger players.
"I would be surprised if he got another move within the Championship, but stranger things have happened," added Justin.
Since achieving promotion to the Premier League with Fulham in 2018 and 2020, Christie has had loan spells with Nottingham Forest and Swansea in the Championship, before moving to Hull City in 2022. Justin was keen to point out Christie's decline since his move to Humberside.
"He did lose a bit of pace after a knee injury at Hull, with his recovery pace also impacted," said Justin. "He doesn't sound like the sort of player we would be looking for this transfer window."
Christie's experience is a major plus point that goes in his favour as he bids to return to football with a new club.
There are not too many currently active players with greater experience in the second-tier than Christie, who helped Fulham gain two successive promotions to the Premier League between 2018 and 2020.
The right-back is perhaps no longer at the level to be playing consistently for a side with ambitions of promotion, but can still prove a dependable squad option with his experience and leadership qualities.
At no cost, it's easy to see why both Watford and QPR are weighing an approach for his services, and it will be interesting to see exactly what comes of their consideration in the coming days and weeks.
