Another Real Madrid star handed international call-up | OneFootball

Another leading member of the first-team ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has this week been afforded an international call-up on the part of his country.

The player in question? Arda Güler.

Midfielder Güler is for his part of course fresh off something of a hit-and-miss 2nd season on the books of Real Madrid.

Though the Turk did enjoy an uptick in playing time and prominence under the watch of Carlo Ancelotti, he remained some way off first choice when all players were fit and available for selection.

All told, Güler racked up 42 appearances in all competitions, chipping in with five goals and an impressive nine assists along the way.

And such efforts, as alluded to above, have proven enough to secure for the 20-year-old a fresh call for international duty.

As showcased below, Güler has been drafted in by the Turkish national team for a pair of upcoming fixtures against Mexico and the USA.
