Another Barcelona star returns to training ahead of Sevilla | OneFootball

La Liga giants Barcelona have on Thursday been afforded a fresh boost on the personnel front.

This comes amid confirmation that Dani Olmo has linked back up with the rest of the club’s squad in first-team training.

Midfielder Olmo has for his part been sidelined since last month.

After enjoying a stellar start to life in Barcelona colours following his summer arrival from RB Leipzig, the 26-year-old was struck down by a hamstring injury during a La Liga meeting with Girona.

The hope, initially, was that Olmo would return to training with his teammates at the beginning of this week.

When as much did not prove the case, concerns over a potential setback for the Euro 2024 winner, in turn, began to spread.

As alluded to above, however, on Thursday, any such fears have been firmly quelled.

This comes amid confirmation by way of Fabrizio Romano that Olmo has rejoined Hansi Flick’s squad in taking full part in group activities at The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.

The midfielder is therefore expected to join both Fermín López and Gavi in being given the green light to face Sevilla this weekend.
