Ruben Amorim said he wanted Manchester United's front line to score more goals and Rasmus Højlund received the message loud and clear.

Thursday's Europa League meeting with Bodø/Glimt had not gone according to script as the visitors took a 2-1 leader after Alejandro Garnacho's early opener.

But Højlund delivered two clinical moments either side of the half-time interval, starting with a real collector's item.

Receiving Noussair Mazraoui's well-worked cross, the Dane controlled the ball in midair before rifling a left-footed volley into the net, before paying homage to the new Gladiator film with his celebration.

Højlund produced another clinical finish just five minutes into the second half to put the Red Devils ahead again.

It's still early days but the Amorim effect is already paying off at Old Trafford.
