This season, there are four FC Barcelona players playing away from the Blaugrana club, on loan at different clubs. Three of these players, Vitor Roque, Oriol Romeu, and Clement Lenglet, are playing in La Liga, with Real Betis, Girona, and Atletico Madrid respectively.
The fourth is playing in Scotland with Celtic Glasgow, i.e., Alex Valle, and he is also the player who has the highest chance of returning to be a part of the Barcelona team after this loan stint.
With Celtic, he has been playing at a very high level and helped his team win the Scottish Cup last Sunday. Valle and his teammates were able to win the final against Rangers only on penalties, as the match ended with a 3-3 scoreline.
As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the youngster also spoke to the media after winning his first piece of silverware, and one of the topics he commented upon was his possible return to the Catalan club next year:
“Barça has always been my home. This would be my 11th season, so I have a special affection for it. In the end, football is about circumstances, and everyone does what they can.
I am very grateful for everything that has happened and is happening in my life. I live in the present and enjoy it; whatever happens next will be what it has to be. I feel I’ve improved and will continue to grow in other aspects.”
This season so far, Valle has played 13 games with Celtic and provided 4 assists. He has played quite regularly with the Scottish team, but Celtic do not have an option to buy him at the end of his loan stint, and thus he would return to Barcelona at the end of the season. In fact, there have been rumours of a possible return in January as well, but he will remain in Scotland till the end of the season.
