The representative of Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies is set to meet with four different European giants to discuss a move for his client after talks over a contract extension have stalled, reports claim.

Davies is hurtling through the final six months of his current deal with Bayern. Despite remaining an undisputed starter for Vincent Kompany's Bundesliga leaders, the club and his agent, Nick Househ, have not been able to settle on terms over a new deal for the flying full-back.

This uncertainty and impending free agency has attracted interest from elite clubs across the continent. Real Madrid have long been held as Davies' strongest suitors, although Manchester United's search for a new left-back has led to links with the Premier League giants.

Bayern Munich appeared to have rowed back from the public ultimatum of sign or be sold in July and offered the player new and improved terms in November.

However, there is still no agreement in place and Davies' agent is set to leave Munich to begin discussions with his client's numerous suitors, according to BILD's Christian Falk.

Four clubs - Real Madrid, Manchester United, Liverpool and Manchester City - have been named as the destinations for Househ's sales pitch.

While interest from Madrid and United is well established, Liverpool could be inclined to snap up the 24-year-old Champions League winner as a long-term successor to the waning Andy Robertson. The club's much-loved and highly decorated defender has not enjoyed his best campaign by his own admission, collecting more red cards (one) than assists (zero) this term.

City don't even have a natural senior left-back to replace. Josko Gvardiol has most commonly filled in there for Pep Guardiola, who has already begun a defensive rebuild in January. The youthful centre-back duo of Vitor Reis and Abdukodir Khusanov are both set to arrive in Manchester this month. Whether Davies will follow in the summer remains to be seen.
