Liverpool finally dropped points as they settled for a 3-3 draw against Newcastle United. However, they still sit atop the points table with a comfortable lead of seven points. Their next game is scheduled against Everton in the Premier League this weekend.
Defence
Alisson Becker is on the verge of making his comeback but he shouldn’t be rushed. Caomhin Kelleher is likely to operate between the sticks. Trent Alexander-Arnold should walk into the XI to take his usual right-back position.
Joe Gomez is expected to serve on the bench with Jarell Quansah moving to the centre-back position to pair up with Virgil van Dijk. Left-back Andy Robertson wasn’t convincing enough in the previous game and needs to step up this time.

Midfield
Alexis Mac Allister is suspended for the tie and in his absence, Dominik Szoboszlai should fill his role. The latter will have the company of Ryan Gravenberch in the middle of the park.
Curtis Jones is to play at his usual attacking midfielder position in which he is excelling so far.
Attack
In-form Mohamed Salah is now the leading goal scorer in the Premier League this season and he continues to operate on the right wing. Darwin Nunez also retains his spot as a striker but needs to be more effective.
On the other hand, Luis Diaz could get the nod on the left flank at the expense of Cody Gakpo.
Ibrahima Konate and Conor Bradley are confirmed absentees while the likes of Diogo Jota and Federico Chiesa might not be used in this fixture.
