Manchester United had quite an eventful October which culminated in Erik ten Hag losing his job at Old Trafford.
However, one highlight from the month was the come-from-behind victory against Brentford which saw United score two fine second-half goals to secure a much needed three points.
Alejandro Garnacho’s equaliser on the day has since been recognised by the Premier League and has been nominated for the Goal of the Month award.

After falling behind on the stroke of half-time, United appeared to be heading for another dark day at the Theatre of Dreams before Garnacho sparked a stirring second-half fightback.
The Argentine’s penchant for the spectacular was in evidence once again as he smashed home a wicked Marcus Rashford cross just minutes after the restart.
Rashford’s delicious delivery was met flush on the volley by the Argentine and the ball flashed past Bees’ goalkeeper Mark Flekken and draw United level on the day.
Rasmus Hojlund’s winner 15 minutes later ensured United’s solitary league win of the month.
Despite United’s struggles, the 20-year-old has started the season in decent personal form, constantly looking a threat in attacking areas, if still a touch frustrating with his end product.
Should Garnacho win the award he will have to fight off stiff competition with a raft of special strikes making up the nominations, with the full list as follows:
Facundo Buonanotte (Leicester 1-0 Bournemouth) Andreas Pereira (Man City 3-2 Fulham) Jeremy Doku (Man City 3-2 Fulham) Alejandro Garnacho (Man Utd 2-1 Brentford) Ryan Christie (AFC Bournemouth 2-0 Arsenal) Josko Gvardiol (Wolves 1-2 Man City) Nicolas Jackson (Chelsea 2-1 Newcastle) Bukayo Saka (Arsenal 2-2 Liverpool)
Garnacho is no stranger to such accolades, having picked up last season’s Goal of the Season award with his remarkable strike against Everton, one of the finest ever scored by a United player.
The young man will be desperate to get his hands on another personal prize as he continues to make his mark on the Premier League and nail down his place in the United side.
Garnacho’s effort will no doubt be noted by incoming head coach Ruben Amorim who is set to be officially announced as the successor to Erik ten Hag in the coming hours.
