According to a recent report from SPORT, Barcelona midfielder Pablo Torre is attracting strong interest from across Europe.
While Mallorca had been leading the race for the youngster’s signature, new offers from Ajax and Marseille have added fresh twists to the story.
Both clubs are keen to sign Torre, with Ajax offering the chance to play Champions League football next season, something that has made the player stop and think carefully about his next move.
Torre has always seen Mallorca as his preferred destination. In fact, their manager, Jagoba Arrasate, has played an important role in trying to convince both the player and Barça that Torre would be central to his plans.
Mallorca have already agreed terms with Barcelona and have made what they describe as their maximum offer. They do not plan to improve that proposal, even though competition has now increased.

The interest from Ajax is particularly appealing to Torre because of the opportunity to compete at the highest level in Europe. On the other hand, Marseille’s offer holds less appeal for the midfielder at this stage.
Despite this, Barcelona have given Torre the freedom to choose his next destination. The club is aware that moving abroad could bring in a better financial deal for them, possibly improving their summer balance sheet.
Osasuna have also entered the mix, seeing Torre as a potential star signing who could have a major impact on their team.
The player has been impressed with their project too, but with several good options on the table, he has asked for a few days to reflect.
What seems certain is that a decision will be made this week, with Barcelona prepared for his exit. Whether it’s Mallorca, Ajax, Osasuna or elsewhere, Torre’s next move promises to be an exciting one.
