Ajax block Devyne Rensch’s transfer to Roma until 30 January | OneFootball

Ajax have momentarily halted Devyne Rensch’s move to Roma.

As reported by Telegraaf, the Dutch side have blocked the defender until January 30 to have him available for the final two games of the first phase of the Europa League.

Despite an agreement in principle with Roma, Ajax want to ensure that Rensch will not leave before a replacement is found.

The news portal states that Ajax would not want to lose the 21-year-old before securing his replacement, with Vagiannidis in pole position over Twente’s Reeger.

In the meantime, Rensch has already an agreement with Roma for a contract until 2029.
