AC Milan are interested in signing Bayer Leverkusen forward Victor Boniface, according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri.
The Serie A giants are aiming to bounce back from a poor campaign last season, where they finished eighth in the league table.
Massimiliano Allegri has returned to the club and is leading a summer rebuild. Signing a striker is one of the main priorities.
Milan have identified Boniface as a key target and contacted his representatives. He is open to joining them if an agreement is reached between the two clubs.
Boniface enjoyed a strong season with Leverkusen after joining from Union Saint-Gilloise in 2023.
The 23-year-old was a key figure in Xabi Alonso’s squad that went unbeaten in the Bundesliga and won the title.
He also helped the German side win the DFB-Pokal, making it a historic domestic double for the club.
Boniface scored 11 goals and registered two assists across all competitions last season.
The Nigerian has developed a reputation as a powerful striker who can play with his back to goal and link up play effectively.
He is also known for his strong runs, sharp dribbling and finishing skills, making him a constant threat in the final third.
Boniface combines his physical presence with good movement and awareness, often creating space for teammates.
Leverkusen are not actively looking to sell, but could consider letting him leave if a good offer arrives.
Milan are also interested in Leverkusen’s Granit Xhaka and may step up their efforts to sign him in the coming days.
