All summer long, it has appeared that it is only a matter of time before Jack Grealish leaves Manchester City. A report from Rory Smith for the Observer did suggest that Grealish was thinking that staying at City was the best move for his career. It has now been reported that Grealish is likely to be left out of Manchester City’s squad for their upcoming friendly against Palermo. There appears to be only one ending to the transfer saga that has surrounded the England international this summer.

Everton has emerged as a possible destination for Jack Grealish this summer.

Mike Keegan and Jack Gaughan have reported for the Daily Mail that it is highly likely that Jack Grealish will be left out of Manchester City’s squad for this weekend’s friendly against Palermo. Furthermore, the Daily Mail reports that Grealish wasn’t utilised in Manchester City’s closed-door friendly against Preston North End. Pep Guardiola’s side won 1-nil with Savinho, Jeremy Doku and Omar Marmoush preferred on the left wing as per the Daily Mail report.

Mike Keegan and Jack Gaughan further report that Everton have shown interest in signing Jack Grealish on loan. Furthermore, it is reported that Everton has now opened talks with Manchester City over a loan deal for the England international. Turkish giants Fenerbahce have seen an offer rejected to sign Grealish for next season as per the Daily Mail’s report. David Ornstein has also reported for The Athletic that Everton has begun negotiations with Manchester City to sign Jack Grealish for next season. Furthermore, Ornstein reports that it is unknown at this stage if a deal can be completed between the two teams.

Jack Grealish now seems certain to leave Manchester City.

Based on this week’s reports it is now seemingly only a matter of time before Jack Grealish leaves Manchester City. In fact, it would be a major surprise if he stayed. Given the fact that he was left out for City’s friendly against Preston North End, the chances are slim that Grealish will force his way into Pep Guardiola’s plans. If he is indeed left out of Manchester City’s squad for this weekend’s friendly against Palermo, that would be telling. It would seem to be only a matter of time before Grealish finds a new club. Everton seems to be pushing hard to sign him. It remains to be seen if another suitor emerges for the England international.
