A PSG star is admired by Manchester City but signing him could be impossible | OneFootball

It was revealed by Esteemed Kompany sources in March that Manchester City have had scouts monitor PSG star Desire Doue. Across this season Doue has played a key role in PSG’s success so far this season. Now a new report indicates that City could be poised to offer over £100 million to sign Doure this summer. Despite his obvious talent and potential, it does seem that signing one of PSG’s key players could prove to be almost impossible for Manchester City.

Spanish publication Fichajes has reported that Manchester City are preparing to bid £102 million to sign Desire Doue from PSG. Furthermore, the Fichajes report indicates that Doue has impressed Pep Guardiola with his play this season. It is also reported by Fichajes that City are determined to test PSG’s resolve to keep Doue.

Desire Doue would be a fine signing for Manchester City. At 19 years of age, he has his best football ahead of him. But despite his young age, he is already a quality player. This season he has scored 13 goals and added 12 assists in 47 appearances in all competitions. Doue has played a key role in PSG retaining the Ligue One title and in their surge to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals. Desire Doue is a versatile player who can play on either wing or as a number ten. With his exceptional technical ability, he’d be a quality addition to Pep Guardiola’s squad.

But as good a fit as Doue would be for Pep Guardiola’s squad it would almost be impossible for Manchester City to sign him. There’s no indication that PSG would be willing to sell him. It is almost a certainty that PSG have no intention of selling him. So while Manchester City have been linked with a potential move for Doue it’s just a move that seems impossible to see happening this summer.
