Manchester United have been urged by fan and darts icon Luke Littler to pursue Douglas Luiz, who’s expected to part ways with Juventus prematurely this summer.
The former Aston Villa ace is being touted for a return to the Premier League after only one season in Turin, with United one of his many suitors sizing up a move.
Luiz was nowhere to be seen when the Juventus squad reported for pre-season training last week, prompting the Italian press to assume he was forcing a move away. He has since joined up with his teammates, although he is thought to be pushing to depart before 2025/2026 gets underway.

Where he ends up is the question on fans’ lips, though.
As things stand, Everton are heavily targeting the Brazilian international, while the Red Devils, Nottingham Forest, West Ham, Fulham and Leeds United are all in the mix and actively monitoring his situation.
From United’s point of view, they’re currently prioritising the arrival of a centre-forward, meaning any negotiations for a new midfielder will have to wait.
Luiz signed for the Serie A giants last summer in a deal worth £42.35 million. He had just played an instrumental role in Villa securing Champions League qualification for the first time via a fourth-placed finish, but departed before he could reap the benefits of his efforts by aiding his side’s European campaign.
The 27-year-old went on to feature sporadically in 2024/2025, making only three league starts and missing portions of the term with a muscle and hamstring injury.
Still, Littler – amongst other supporters on social media – believes Luiz can still do a job in the English top flight.
When pressed on the signings he’d like to see United make before the window closes, he told Sky Sports: “For myself, I’ve said for the past week… Douglas Luiz from Juventus. It will be a no-brainer. Whether you want him sitting, whether you want him attacking, he can do it all.”
