The Terriers are missing quite a few players for this weekend's game - and Lincoln are also nursing a couple of injuries.

Huddersfield Town will be looking to continue their promotion push this weekend when they take on Lincoln City at the John Smith's Stadium.

The Terriers have started well in their quest to secure a Championship return at the first time of asking but they always knew they were going to face a difficult challenge.

Unsurprisingly, Birmingham City have made a very good start to the season, along with Wrexham. Wycombe Wanderers, however, have been a surprise package and could be key in preventing the Terriers from winning promotion at the end of this term.

At this point though, at an important time for the West Yorkshire outfit, they just need to focus on themselves and get as many points on the board as possible in the coming months.

Lincoln, who are currently ninth, won't be an easy opponent.

Michael Skubala's side were battling for the play-offs at the end of last season and they could secure another top-six finish at the end of this term, so Michael Duff's men will need to put in a good performance to give themselves the best chance of winning all three points.

Ahead of this clash, we take a look at those who are set to be missing for this weekend's clash.

Jonathan Hogg

In his press conference on Thursday afternoon, Duff revealed that Jonathan Hogg will be missing for around four to six weeks.

He sustained a grade two calf injury in the warm-up against Bolton Wanderers in midweek - and looks set to miss the remainder of the festive period.

This is a blow for the Terriers, considering the midfielder is a leader in Huddersfield's team and could have been vital during an important part of the season.

Radinio Balker

Centre-back Radinio Balker may have played for the B team on Tuesday, but Duff has confirmed that he's still quite a long time away from returning to first-team action.

Fracturing his ankle in pre-season, it's been a long road for Balker back to recovery and that looks set to continue.

However, his appearance for the B team is a big step forward for him and it will give him plenty of confidence that he could still make an impact this season.

Lee Nicholls

Duff also revealed in his pre-match press conference that goalkeeper Lee Nicholls is edging closer to a return, as he looks to recover from his setback.

However, he isn't quite ready to return to the matchday squad for this weekend's game, having felt an "irritation" in his elbow.

Rhys Healey

Rhys Healey is out of action with a calf tear and could face around six weeks on the sidelines.

Scoring two goals in eight competitive appearances this term, the forward, who cost £2m from Watford, will be keen to get back to full fitness as quickly as possible.

Mikel Miller

Mikel Miller sustained a severe setback against Leyton Orient during the latter stages of last month, injuring his knee.

This injury looks set to keep him on the sidelines for three or four months, with the player having to undergo surgery on his road to recovery.

Adam Jackson

Lincoln boss Skubala has confirmed that Adam Jackson is still struggling with a face injury.

And in his pre-match press conference, the Imps' manager revealed that he wouldn't be available for this weekend's clash.

A time frame hasn't been identified for his return, but it looks as though he will be out for a while.

Tom Hamer

Skubula has revealed that Tom Hamer is "progressing well", with the player making great strides in his rehab.
