As the 2024-25 season approaches its end, the future of the three FC Barcelona players who are playing away on loan this season is becoming somewhat clearer.

This is particularly true for Alex Valle, for whom the Italian side Como are reportedly willing to pay the €6 million clause to make the defender a permanent member of their team.

Similarly, another recent report indicated that the French defender Clement Lenglet’s entourage has also let the Blaugranes know that he wants to remain at Atletico Madrid beyond his current loan stint, and the two clubs now need to arrive at an agreement for a permanent sale.

However, as opposed to these reports, the player clarified that he has not yet talked about his future. As Mundo Deportivo has reported, the defender spoke to the media after his side’s match against Rayo Vallecano, and about his future, he said:

“I’m experiencing this first season with Atlético with a lot of excitement, eager to contribute to the team and working day by day like a professional, both in training and when it’s my turn to play. We’ll see what happens later on, because I still have two years left on my contract with Barcelona and we haven’t discussed anything about the future yet.”

These comments reflect that Clement Lenglet is yet to decide his future. However, it would be quite understandable if he wanted to remain at Atletico Madrid. The Colchoneros promise him a good project, UEFA Champions League football, and the chance to win trophies under Diego Simeone.

But before his move to the Madrid club can be permanently materialised, Barcelona and Atletico will have to arrive at an agreement.
