Chelsea head into Sunday’s game against Liverpool with a number of players making a good start to the season, including Robert Sanchez.

The Blues head to Anfield looking for a first win at the famous ground since 2021, but are unbeaten in the league since the opening game of the season.

Enzo Maresca’s men have won all three of their away games this season, but face a tough task to make it four out of four.

Sanchez has made the most saves in the league

Everyone will need to be at their best as Chelsea begin a run of games which sees them also face Newcastle, Manchester United and Arsenal before the next international break.

Maresca has warned his players in the build-up to this run they can’t rely on Cole Palmer to solve all their problems.

The Blues have the players to course these teams problems, and Maresca recently described Jadon Sancho as a special player.

Whilst the attacking players have taken a lot of the plaudits this season, the Blues have improved defensively with the much criticised Sanchez making a good start to the campaign.

Whilst the Spaniard was at fault for both goals in the 4-2 win against Brighton he’s performed well this season and is the reason why the Blues beat Bournemouth and didn’t lose to Nottingham Forest as he made a series of top saves.

Stats from Chelsea’s website have shown that the Spain international has actually made the most saves in the league this season (33) whilst he’s also made a league high 13 sweeper clearances.

Sanchez is likely to tested a lot over this next run of games as the Blues come up against a series of very good attacks and whilst the Spain international has proven he’s a very good shot stopper,  there’s always that worry he’s got a mistake in him.

Chelsea will be hoping he doesn’t make any errors in this next run as against better sides it’s likely to be the difference between winning and losing.
