Manchester United are reportedly ready to make a big and ambitious transfer bid to solve Ruben Amorim’s issues in attack.

Following a superb run of 12 goals and five assists in 15 games for Galatasaray so far this season, it seems Victor Osimhen is now firmly in Man Utd’s sights for January.

The Red Devils could do with bringing in an elite goal-scorer like Osimhen as soon as possible, and Fichajes claim they’re willing to pay as much as €75million to bring the Nigeria international to Old Trafford.

The report claims United are eager to try an ambitious move to end Osimhen’s loan at Galatasaray early, with the 25-year-old currently on loan at the Turkish club from Napoli.

Osimhen made the surprise move to Galatasaray in the summer after failing to escape Napoli for a genuinely elite club as many expected him to.

Still, there’s surely no one kidding themselves that Osimhen was ever likely to stay at Gala for the long run, and a move like United would make sense as the next step for him.

MUFC are going through an awful run of form at the moment, with Joshua Zirkzee and Rasmus Hojlund looking particularly poor up front.

Osimhen would surely be a major upgrade on those two flops, while he could also be an important big-name signing to replace Marcus Rashford.

Rashford has been off the boil for over a year now and it’s probably now time for him to move on and for United to build around a new focal point in their attack.

Clearly, Osimhen is not someone who’d come cheap, but United might look at a €75m deal as pretty good business, as he would likely have cost a lot more than that just a few months ago.
