12 players sign scholarships | OneFootball

Twelve Academy players have signed scholarships with Manchester City ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

Finlay Gorman, Finley Grigg, Dante Headley, Charlie Holt, Teddie Lamb, Milo Martin, Yohan Obin, Floyd Samba, Sam Wadsworth, Jacob Wain and Timeo Whisker, as well as Ben Vickery – subject to international clearance – make up the latest cohort to pen full-time agreements.

The scholarship means they are now on full-time schedules with City and will be working with Oliver Reiss throughout the Under-18s campaign.

Gorman spent his first season at the Club building a wealth of experience, featuring predominantly as an eight, as he helped City lift the Under-18 Premier League North title at the end of 2024/25.

Headley also made a handful of appearances at full-back as one of the youngest players in the team. He also scored two goals and will be looking to become a more pertinent figure in 2025/26.

Grigg and Samba were regular faces in training and in the matchday squad, gaining invaluable experience whilst still in the Under-16s side. Now, they will be a permanent part of City’s Under-18s.

For Holt, Lamb, Martin, Obin, Vickery, Wadsworth, Wain and Whisker, they will be hoping to help City retain the Under-18 Premier League North title in their debut seasons in the competition.

Held at the City Football Academy earlier this month, City’s annual scholar signing event took place, with each player completing their deal in front of family and friends.

Academy Director Thomas Kruecken led proceedings and also handed each individual with their scholar’s caps.
