From the 1-0 or 1-1 scorelines that were becoming quite the norm under previous manager Xavi Hernandez, Barcelona have witnessed an incredible turnaround this season and are in a place where they can easily outscore any opponent.
Barcelona’s recent 7-1 win over Valencia was a key indicator of their offensive prowess. The win also extended their scoring tally for the season to 101 goals in just 32 competitive matches.
As reported by Mundo Deportivo, the current edition of the Barcelona attack will go down as one of the best of all time.
That is because the Catalans have scored 101 goals in 32 competitive matches under Hansi Flick. This accounts for a goals-per-game ratio of 3.16.

That number has only been surpassed twice in Barcelona’s history. The highest-ever goals-per-game ratio ever held by a Barcelona team was in 1951-52, with a sensational tally of 3.31.
Helenio Herrera’s Barcelona side in 1957-58 also achieved a similar tally of 3.26, which to date, is the second-best of all time.
Flick’s Barça occupies third spot with a goals-per-game ratio of 3.16. This is not a low tally by any means. To put things into perspective, Pep Guardiola’s Barcelona side had managed a goals-per-game ratio of 2.97 in the 2011-12 season.
Even in the 2014-15 season, the famed ‘MSN’ trio could only muster a ratio of 2.92 goals per game.
Moreover, Barcelona boast the best attack in Europe with 101 goals. PSV Eindhoven are the closest team with 95 goals whereas Celtic (94) and Real Madrid (87) are third and fourth respectively.
