Zazzaroni Claims ‘Atalanta Trying To Sell Lookman In Premier League’ To Avoid Inter Milan Deal | OneFootball

Corriere dello Sport editor Ivan Zazzaroni has claimed that Atalanta are trying to sell forward Ademola Lookman in the Premier League.

Zazzaroni posted on Instagram that intermediary Frank Trimboli is looking for buyers in England for the 27-year-old. However, he later pulled back in a subsequent post.

Atalanta are clearly hoping to sell forward Ademola Lookman for as much as possible.

To that end, La Dea have been awaiting for offers to arrive from abroad for the 27-year-old.

So far, only Inter have bid for Lookman. And Atalanta have turned down both of their opening offers.

Zazzaroni wrote in an Instagram post that “I’ve gotten confirmation that Atalanta have told Frank Trimboli to try and find a buyer for Lookman in the Premier League.

“This means three things,” the Corriere dello Sport editor continued. “Atalanta are now willing to lose him, firstly.”

“They’re looking for more than the €50 million that Marotta can offer. They don’t want to sell him in Italy, to Inter.”

“Rather, they want to decide where he’ll be sent.”

“There are currently no offers other than Inter’s,” Zazzaroni notes.

However, Zazzaroni subsequently pulled back from these comments. “I received a direct denial from the interested parties,” he wrote.

“There was no mandate from Atalanta to sell Lookman in the Premier League.”

“For the sake of accuracy, I’m publishing this. The sources were good, but not great. The mistake was also mine and it’s right for me to admit that.”

“Who knows where the truth lies…” Zazzaroni concluded cryptically.
