After the disappointing at the FIFA Club World Cup semifinal, Real Madrid are gearing up for preparations for the new season.
New coach Xabi Alonso has been very lucid with his game-plan and role for each and every member of the team.
Now, with Real Madrid less than a month away from the start of the new season, Alonso has once again given out a clear message and what he is expecting from the team in the 2025/26 campaign.
According to MARCA, Alonso has already laid out his plans to the players, both individually and collectively.
The squad knows where they stand and what their roles will look like heading into the new season.
Alonso made his intentions clear not only during the Club World Cup but also in regular training and one-on-one discussions.

While Alonso hasn’t closed the door on any player, he hasn’t sugar-coated the reality either. Contracts may protect players, but the coach has been transparent in letting them know how much game time to realistically expect.
Some players, such as Rodrygo, have been told they will face stiff competition for minutes, even amid high uncertainty over his long-term future at the club.
Brahim Diaz will continue to serve as a rotational option, while others like Raul Asensio have been urged to work harder to regain a bigger role.
Goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, meanwhile, has been informed that his opportunities may be limited unless unexpected circumstances arise.
There are also players whose positions are now under threat due to incoming signings. Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia qualify in that category thanks to the signing of Alvaro Carreras.
