Arsenal produced an impressive display to secure a 3-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby on Saturday.
The visitors dominated possession from the opening at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with goals from Alessia Russo, Frida Maanum, and a late strike from Stina Blackstenius sealing the win.

Following a highly anticipated North London Derby, Arsenal secured a big three points, extending their unbeaten run in the WSL. The match saw the Gunners deliver a clinical performance in the first half, as Russo opened things up with a goal in the first two minutes. The Lioness’ opener was followed by a second from Maanum, who doubled the Reds’ lead 20 minutes later.
Arsenal displayed a confident first half, whereas Tottenham’s attempts were few. Spurs’ best effort of the afternoon from Bethany England was denied by the keeper. Daphne Van Domselaar produced an amazing save against England’s powerful shot from just outside the box.
Kyra Cooney-Cross came on for Kim Little during some half-time changes. Little, alongside Leah Williamson, both made their 150th appearance in the WSL.
Katie McCabe opened the second half with a free-kick that landed comfortably into Becky Spencer’s gloves. Chances for Spurs then became evidently less as Arsenal continued to dominate and keep possession in the last quarter.
Swedish international Blackstenius was subbed on in the 64th minute and after just two minutes on the pitch, she finished off the North London Derby scoring with a goal. The win leaves Arsenal fourth in the WSL on 15 points, with Tottenham down in seventh after facing their fifth defeat this season.
