Women's team face first home clash after perfect start

Free entrance v SCR Altach at the Red Bull Football Academy

Our side made a perfect start to the ADMIRAL Frauen Bundesliga, with Dusan Pavlovic's outfit taking a 2-0 win in Linz. The spectacular second goal from Theresa D’Angelo was later voted Goal of the Matchday, which provides extra motivation for our first home appearance. On Sunday 24 August, SCR Altach are to visit the Red Bull Football Academy at 14:00 CEST.

A score to settle

Altach have not enjoyed such a good start to the season, with last year's runners-up beaten 0-3 by Austria Vienna on the opening weekend. They have good reason to still be confident as they travel to Salzburg, however. Last season there were unbeaten against our predecessors, FC Bergheim. The side captained by Lucia Orkic triumphed in the second round of the ÖFB Women's Cup last September, however. The clash will be officiated by Olivia Tschon, who was awarded the Order of Merit from Tyrol last week for her services to refereering.

Our side are hoping to gain your support, of course. Entrance to our home matches is free, with no ticket needed. Anyone not able to make it to the academy can see the match on ÖFB TV.

Views

The opening victory was an important moment for us as a team, but we know that it was only the first step. Our goal is to improve from match to match. Altach have a lot of quality, so we need 100 per cent commitment and focus again.
