Wolves travel to the south coast to face AFC Bournemouth on Saturday under early-season pressure.
A demoralising 4-0 defeat to Manchester City on the opening day extended the club’s winless league run to five games. Manager Vitor Pereira will be demanding a huge response from his players in what is already a vital match.
Vitor Pereira is expected to make several changes to his starting eleven after a poor opening-day performance against Man City. Although a Marshall Munetsi goal was narrowly disallowed, Wolves offered little threat for much of the game.
Consequently, the manager will look to inject more pace and creativity, with new signing Jhon Arias and established forward Hwang Hee-Chan both pushing for starts after appearing from the bench.
The squad has also been boosted by the signing of defender Jackson Tchatchoua from Hellas Verona. The Cameroon international, the fastest player in Serie A last season, has joined on a five-year deal but is likely to start on the bench as he integrates with his new team.
Wolves predicted XI: Sá; Hoever, Doherty, Agbadou, Toti Gomes, Møller Wolfe; João Gomes, André, Bellegarde; Strand Larsen, Munetsi.
The Premier League fixture takes place at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday, 23rd August 2025, with kick-off scheduled for 3pm BST.
Due to the 3pm blackout rule in the UK, this match will not be broadcast live. Highlights will be shown on BBC’s Match of the Day, with radio commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live.
