Roma would reportedly aim to bring back former Primavera midfielder Davide Frattesi in case of a late Champions League qualification.

After having secured sixth place, the Giallorossi are eagerly awaiting to find out what the last Serie A matchday may bring.

A place in next year’s Champions League could revolutionize Roma’s entire transfer plans and strategy, reports calciomercato.com.

The news portal claims Champions League football would guarantee Roma more financial leeway this summer as well as more appeal in the eyes of marquee players the club have expressed interest in such as Jonathan David and, more recently, Davide Frattesi.

The former Roma man is one of Daniele De Rossi’s objectives as the club’s head coach remains one of Frattesi’s biggest admirers.

Frattesi, on the other hand, holds De Rossi in very high regard.

This could easily factor into a deal that would see Frattesi leave Inter where he was faced with limited playing time for the majority of the season under Simone Inzaghi.

Inter’s difficult economic situation could prompt the Nerazzurri to consider offers for Frattesi: Roma still hold sell-on clause on the percentage of Frattesi’s sale from Sassuolo to Inter. This could further facilitate negotiations between the two clubs.
