Divine Mukasa has been included in City’s travelling squad for this weekend’s Anglo Palermitan Trophy clash with Palermo.
We face our CFG sister club at the Renzo Barbera Stadium at 20:00 (UK) on Saturday 9 August, with the clash live on mancity.com and our official app for those with a CITY+ subscription.
Mukasa is one of 22 players on the plane to Sicily and the only yet to make his debut in senior football.
The 17-year-old midfielder joined us in September 2023 from West Ham United and impressed immediately, shining on our way to FA Youth Cup success at the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
He backed that up last season with 41 games across all competitions, with 16 goals and 15 assists in just 20 games in the U18 Premier League.
A technical, creative and physically imposing player, Mukasa added a prolific edge to his game over the course of 2024/25.
He even claimed a hat-trick in the 7-1 U18 Premier League win over Newcastle United in November 2024.
There were also braces against Nottingham Forest, Stoke City, Leeds United and Wolves.
Last term also included his first run outs in the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy.
He is also experienced at youth level in international football, having represented England at the U16, U17 and U18 age groups.
Having been an important part of our Under-18’s success over the last couple of seasons, he will now be hoping to make his mark and impress Pep Guardiola.
