Alejandro Garnacho should have opened his account for the Premier League season during Manchester Unitedâs trip to Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
With the score at 1-1, the substitute popped up at the back post to steer a ball across goal into the gaping net to put his side in front.
Or so it seemed.
But a very costly touch on the line from Joshua Zirkzee to knee the ball over while he was in an offside position cost both the Argentine his goal and his side the lead.
Garnacho's goal is ruled out for offside as Zirkzee gets a touch with the ball on the line đłÂ âÂ
What was the Dutchman thinking? Could he have done better to get out of the way and let Garnachoâs effort roll into the empty net?
