West Ham United ‘very close’ to signing of Spanish international | OneFootball

A midfielder whose name will be altogether familiar to regular viewers of Spanish football is in the verge of taking his talents to the Premier League, with West Ham United.

That’s according to transfer insider Matteo Moretto, who points towards Carlos Soler as the player in question.

Soler, for his part, is currently on the books of Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain.

It was the 27-year-old’s exploits whilst still on the books of former club Valencia, however, which saw Soler secure for himself a reputation as one of La Liga’s standout performers in the middle of the park.

This reputation has since been damaged in France, with the 14-time capped Spanish international having become a regular target of criticism on the part of the PSG faithful.

But, evidently, the form which ultimately led to Soler making the move to the Parc des Princes back in 2022 has not been forgotten…

In turn, the Valencia youth product is all set for a new experience, on this occasion in England.

‘Carlos Soler, very close to West Ham. The two clubs are finalising a loan with mandatory purchase.’
