West Brom looking to bring former Everton youngster back to England from Standard Liege | OneFootball

Sacha Tavolieri is reporting that West Brom have approached Standard Liege with the hopes of signing Isaac Price. The former Everton youth player only joined Standard last summer but, given the sides poor financial situation, they are likely to be open to allowing him to move back to England. The versatile midfielder is valued at around €2m by Transfermarkt and did sign a contract in Liege until 2027. Standard signed Price on a free from Everton last summer, so any sale would be a profit. However, it would also be a damning indictment of their current situation in having to sell a player they had hoped to develop over the next few years.

20-year-old Price only made three appearances for the Everton first team before deciding to move to Belgium to further his development. The prospect of first team football was clearly enticing, and he has already played 40 times for Standard, scoring once and grabbing two assists. Price started the sides opening game of the 2024/2025 season as they drew 0-0 away from home against Genk.
