West Bromwich Albion manager Carlos Corberan is reportedly open to departing for Leicester City, who are currently searching for a successor to Steve Cooper after parting ways with the Welshman over the weekend.

This fresh development is courtesy of a recent update from GIVEMESPORT, where it has been exclusively reported that Corberan is keen on stepping into the vacant managerial hot-seat at the King Power Stadium.

It's no real surprise that Premier League interest has arisen in Corberan, who is widely regarded among the finest managers at second-tier level after first earning a strong reputation as Marcelo Bielsa's Leeds United assistant before proving his worth with Huddersfield Town and West Brom.

The highly-rated Spaniard guided the Baggies to the Championship play-offs last and currently has them in real contention to replicate that feat, too. At the time of writing, West Brom, who are unbeaten in their last nine matches after claiming a whopping eight draws, find themselves behind sixth-placed Middlesbrough by virtue of goal difference.

Despite not having the financial resources of their counterparts towards the top-end of the Championship, West Brom have consistently punched above their weight under Corberan, but with that success naturally comes the fear of seeing him prized away from the Hawthorns.

Cooper was relieved of his duties following a 2-1 defeat to Enzo Maresca's Chelsea on Saturday afternoon, which consigned the Foxes to their fourth defeat in five matches across all competitions.

It's said that Cooper failed to spark a relationship with supporters and players alike in the way that Maresca did before his summer departure to Stamford Bridge, whereas Corberan has earned significant and continued buy-in across the board at West Brom. Therefore, Corberan is believed to be viewed as a strong stylistic fit for the job, and the report has also added that he's keen on a cross-Midlands switch.

GIVEMESPORT have reported that Corberan would even be willing to leave the Baggies mid-season in order to land his first job, and the Spaniard's seeming stance will no doubt represent a huge cause for concern at West Brom.
