Swindon Town have been on an imperious run of form and have, remarkably, only lost one of their last 12 League Two meetings - a 1-0 defeat to Harrogate Town.

On Saturday, it appeared their run was to come to an end, but Ian Holloway's side managed to salvage a 3-3 draw with Cheltenham Town despite trailing until the 88th minute.

In recent games, Holloway has turned to youth within his squad and has utilised 17-year-old Botan Ameen to great effect, with the forward catching the eye.

When asked by FLW which player feels the most likely to leave the club this summer, FLW's Swindon Town fan pundit, Ciaran Daniel, highlighted Ameen.

"He's been very, very good. He is someone that looks like he could be an elite level player," Ciaran told Football League World.

"He's got that sort of technique and ability inside him, and I think a lot of Premier League and Championship academies have a real pathway into first-team football.

"Middlesbrough, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Leicester, maybe even Brentford would be very keen to buy players for what would be seen by the League Two clubs as a lot of money.

"For a Premier League or Championship club, it is a very good investment if they can develop him into a player that could be sold for £10, 15, 20 million in the future.

"He's one player I think is definitely going in the summer. We're going to cash in on him."

Ameen has already caught the attention of Man United and Wolves

Although it is early into his career, Ameen has already made an impact at the County Ground and has even been called up to the Iraq U20s.

The teenager has also caught the glance of Premier League clubs, with Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers sending scouts to watch him, as per The Daily Mail.

Having made a handful of substitute appearances earlier in the season, the 17-year-old has featured in each of Swindon's last three games, against Salford, Doncaster Rovers and Cheltenham.

Against Doncaster, Ameen played an important role in both goals and bagged his first assist of the campaign by teeing up Joe Westley for Swindon's second goal.

The teenager was then rewarded by Holloway with his first start against Cheltenham and played the entire 90 minutes. Although he did not contribute in front of goal, he is making substantial strides in the South West.

United and Wolves know the value of acquiring talent at an early age and will be encouraged to strike a deal with a player who has significant potential.

It appears that Ameen has started to peak at the right time this season and will want to build on his recent performances ahead of the impending summer transfer window.
