Real Madrid entertained Mallorca at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in La Liga. Los Blancos made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 18th minute when Vedat Muriqi found the back of the net. However, Arda Guler equalised for the Madrid club in the 37th minute before Vinicius Jr. gave his team the lead just a minute later. Xabi Alonso’s men went into the half-time break 2-1 up on the scoreline.

Real Madrid managed to protect their slender lead well in the second half and managed to grind out a narrow 2-1 win at the Bernabeu.

Courtois made his fair share of saves during the game, but failed to keep a clean sheet tonight.

RB: Trent Alexander-Arnold – 7.5/10

He earned the ball back a few times and made one good run on the right flank.

CB: Eder Militao – 7/10

Militao put his foot through the ball when he could and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.

CB: Dean Huijsen – 7.5/10

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was a good presence on the ball. Huijsen has also got an assist to show for his efforts.

LB: Alvaro Carreras – 7/10

He was a positive influence at both ends of the pitch.

CM: Federico Valverde – 7/10

Valverde anchored the midfield well and made some inviting chances in the final third.

CM: Aurelien Tchouameni – 7/10

The Frenchman offered solid protection for his teammates at the back and was not shy of having a strike at goal.

RW: Franco Mastantuono – 6.5/10

He caused some problems for the opposition defenders, but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

CAM: Ardu Guler – 7/10

Guler was a real menace in the final third and managed to score in the 37th minute.

LW: Vinicius Junior – 8/10

He was a constant threat on the left flank and gave his team the lead soon after Guler’s goal.

ST: Kylian Mbappe – 7/10

Mbappe engineered a lot of inviting chances for others around him, but there was no goal for him tonight.

He added some energy to Alonso’s attack.
