Villarreal closing in on Nantes’ Nathan Zézé | OneFootball

Nantes centre-back Nathan Zézé (20) is closing in on a move to La Liga side Villarreal, according to Presse Océan. The France U21 international is on the verge of leaving his formative club to sign for the Champions League-playing Spanish club. Villarreal reportedly submitted a €22m bid to sign Zézé, one of France’s most promising prospects at centre-back. Inter Milan and AFC Bournemouth were reportedly monitoring Zézé in recent months, but their approaches fell short of Nantes’ valuation of their Academy product. The 20-year-old left-footed centre-back has played 35 games with Les Canaris, although his previous campaign was blighted by a serious ankle injury. According to Ouest-France, promoted Saudi Pro League side Neom SC has also submitted a bid, but lower than Villarreal’s.
