Manchester United target Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly interested in joining seven European clubs this summer but not the Red Devils.

United have prioritised the signing of a striker this summer and have been linked to Victor Osimhen and Hugo Ekitike.

The forward they have been most consistently linked to however, is Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres.

There has already been much drama around this transfer story as he is reportedly furious with his club for them allegedly backtracking on a gentleman’s agreement to let him leave for €70 million this summer.

It has also been reported that the Swede prefers a move to Arsenal over the Red Devils but United remain keen in case the Gunners do not pursue a deal for him.

Portuguese paper A Bola add the latest layer of drama by reporting that Gyokeres has a list of clubs he would be interested in joining but Ruben Amorim’s United is not one of them.

There are supposedly five clubs who have expressed interest in the player. Manchester United, Atlético Madrid, Al Ahli, Arsenal and Juventus are all keen on the player.

Gyokeres is said to prefer a move to England where he played for Coventry City in the recent past.

The report claims, “the Swede, as we know, prefers England but not just any club: in addition to the Gunners, he would welcome calls from Manchester City and Liverpool.”

The paper suggests that “outside of England, the striker’s list of favourites includes Real Madrid and Barcelona, in Spain; PSG in France; Bayern in Germany.”

It is claimed that there have been no formal offers but Arsenal have suggested €65 million. Juventus are also said to be able to get up to €80 million, which would be accepted. Nonetheless, it remains to be seen whether they will put their money where their mouth is.

Interestingly, it seems Gyokeres’ agent is offering him around Europe’s elite as his future will surely become clearer over the coming weeks.
