Chelsea have their fifth goal of the night just under 15 minutes into the second half and it’s that man Marc Cucurella.

Marc Guiu scored a first half hat-trick, with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall also getting on the scoresheet as the Blues ran rampant after Shamrock had equalised.

Cucurella is only playing in this match because he got sent off against Brentford on Sunday meaning he’s suspended for the weekend trip to Everton.

Cucurella adds a fifth for Chelsea

The Spaniard has been in brilliant form for Chelsea this season and has been one of the club’s top performers this campaign.

Having scored against Brentford the 26-year-old has now found the back of the net for the second game running and it’s a brilliant finish from the Spain international.

Christopher Nkunku picks out Cucurella and the left back takes a superb touch inside before firing a brilliant shot in off the post.

Cucurella finished like a centre forward and that’s the kind of quality Maresca will be looking for from his full backs in the final third when they invert into that advanced position high up the pitch.

Maresca hands debut to Harrison Murray-Campbell

With Chelsea in a commanding position Maresca has turned to the bench and he sent on Harvey Vale at half time to replace Noni Madueke.

The 44-year-old has now handed another academy talent a first team debut in Harrison Murray-Campbell with the youngster replacing hat-trick hero Guiu.

Murray-Campbell is an England under-19 international who is comfortable across the backline and it’s a great opportunity for the 18-year-old to show what he can do.

Say what you want about the Conference League but it’s been brilliant for Chelsea this season in the opportunities it’s given youngsters to play first team football and gain valuable experience, which may otherwise have been hard to come by.
