Manchester United have finally ended their goal drought at Anfield by taking a well-deserved lead against Liverpool thanks to a close-range rocket from Lisandro Martinez.

The Red Devils made the trip to Merseyside with their morale at an all-time low after suffering three straight league defeats in a row that left them in a miserable 14th place in the table.
