Video: Barry Robson on Celts WGS wouldn’t want beside him in the trenches

Former Celtic midfielder Barry Robson in the video shown below tells this funny story about an angry Gordon Strachan going into the Celtic dressing room at Celtic Park with a point to make to his players.

And the then Celtic manager refers to the trench warfare on the Western Front in the so-called Great War – the war to end all wars – to make his point.

Hilariously the first player that he calls out is actually a German! Presumably if he was beside Strachan in the trenches then he’d be a prisoner or an enemy solder engaged in mortal combat.

Next up is an Italian, who were actually on the same side at solder Strachan in WW1 but didn’t really get their boots dirty into the trenches. And saving the best for last, he turns his attention to a Greek – who was always far too godly to get involved in anything as ugly as the fighting on the Western Front.
