Manchester City have welcomed three new signings to the club this week, while there has also been a blockbuster breakthrough in extension talks with Erling Haaland.

Txiki Begiristain and his Etihad Stadium recruitment colleagues have started work on what is being widely viewed as a major overhaul of Pep Guardiola’s ageing and injury-hit squad ahead of the next two years of the Catalan’s contract.

Abdukodir Khusanov became the first recruit of the ongoing transfer window following a €40 million switch from RC Lens in France, followed by fellow versatile central defender, Vitor Reis of Palmeiras in a deal worth around €35 million.

The biggest outlay has come through Eintracht Frankfurt’s Omar Marmoush, as Manchester City issued a package of around €75 million to the Bundesliga giants for arguably the division’s very best goalscoring talent.

Two of the three signings made their full City debuts in a dramatic 3-1 comeback win over Chelsea this month, while their next opportunity to feature will come away to Arsenal in the Premier League, including for Vitor Reis – who is yet to pull on the shirt for the first time.

But the arrivals into the first-team squad have not been the only significant breakthroughs for the future of Manchester City, as club officials finalised and unveiled a blockbuster new nine-and-a-half year contract for star striker, Erling Haaland.

The Norwegian continues to be at the very forefront of Manchester City’s goalscoring output, and leads the club’s charts in that category at the halfway stage of the season, challenging for yet another Premier League Golden Boot award.

Following the three new faces brought in to strengthen Pep Guardiola’s playing squad, as well as the retention of Erling Haaland for the next 10 years, here is an updated list of Manchester City players’ contract expiry dates!
