Manchester United loaned-out star has been revitalised since joining Aston Villa in January, but he could be on the move again next summer.

The 27-year-old is an academy product of Man Utd who cemented himself as one of the club’s biggest stars over the past decade.

However, Ruben Amorim wasn’t impressed with his demeanour on the training ground, so he excluded him from his plans in mid-December, causing a major debacle at the club that culminated in the player’s exit in January.

Rashford signed for Aston Villa on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy set at £40 million.

The versatile attacker has been highly impressive, with Roy Keane noting how he was ‘almost impossible to stop’ and ‘a nightmare for defenders’ in his most recent outing against Man City on Wednesday.

But according to Ben Jacobs, the Villains might struggle to maintain the services of the England international, especially if they fail to book their place in the Champions League next season.

The British journalist explained as much in his most recent update on GiveMeSport, insisting that Villa would find it difficult to cover the player’s £350,000 per week salary without the UCL prize money, as they must adhere to UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules, as well as the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

In this case, Rashford would return to Man Utd, but only temporarily, as Amorim has no intentions of reconciling with the striker.

Hence, the Red Devils would try to find the player a new destination. And while Barcelona remains the player’s ultimate dream, the Catalans’ financial struggles could impede them. Last January, AC Milan had enquired about the player, but they currently risk missing out on European football altogether.

Therefore, the transfer market expert suggests Paris Saint-Germain as the most plausible destination at this stage, as the Ligue 1 champions have the financial means to pull off the operation. Moreover, they’re reportedly searching the market for a new striker.

As for United, they’ll be looking to collect the highest transfer fee possible in order to fund their summer plans, which certainly includes a couple of attackers.
