Tottenham Hotspur are still without a win in their last three games in all competitions after they managed a 2-2 draw against AFC Bournemouth at home in the Premier League on Sunday.
Spurs were lacklustre in the first half and could have conceded more than one goal. They improved after the break but still went 2-0 down.
Back to the wall, the fightback began, and in the end, they scored two goals.
There were many underperforming Spurs players in that game, including Pedro Porro. Yves Bissouma, Rodrigo Bentancur, Brennan Johnson, Dominic Solanke, and Wilson Odobert were also poor.
The web portal wrote: “Big error for Bournemouth’s first half goal, giving the ball away and leaving his entire flank exposed. Didn’t add much else to the game before coming off in the final 10 minutes. 4.”
Porro made two tackles, one interception, and one clearance, and it was a tidy effort from him at the back. At the same time, he also gave away possession 27 times, which is simply not acceptable at this level.
The Spaniard managed only 67% passing accuracy and won only 50% of his duels. He is capable of producing far better performances than what we saw against the Cherries.
Spurs have only managed two wins in their last seven games in all competitions. They face AZ Alkmaar in the second leg of the Europa League last 16 tie at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium on Thursday, and it’s a massive game.
The North London giants lost 1-0 in the first leg, and they need to produce a massive performance in the second leg to qualify for the last eight of this competition.
