Manchester City supporters have been handed an early look at two new unreleased kits, spotted in-store this week.
Kit leaks and early store appearances are nothing new in the modern football landscape. In recent years, clubs have struggled to keep upcoming designs under wraps due to global manufacturing, retail logistics, and heightened fan scrutiny.
However, the latest Manchester City shirts seem to have appeared particularly early — and have already generated strong reactions online with kits having evolved considerably during the PUMA era, combining bold concepts with nods to the club’s history and identity.
From tribute designs honouring Maine Road and the Etihad Stadium respectively to futuristic third kits featuring digital-style graphics, the club has never shied away from pushing aesthetic boundaries.
Now, with a treble and multiple titles under their belt, the recently de-throned Premier League champions are once again preparing for a global merchandise launch — albeit with a few surprises leaked ahead of time.
As shared by Footy Headlines this week, two new Manchester City shirts have been spotted in-store despite having not been officially unveiled by the Premier League giants ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
The brand new City away kit for the upcoming season is described as being a ‘minimalist, all-black design with a silver crest and polo collar’, while the third kit is ‘bold, featuring neon green sleeves and a water droplet graphic effect on a grey base’.
As for when Manchester City fans can expect either kit to launch for sale across the globe and at the stadium or official club shops, the report claims that the black away shirt is expected to launch in July, and the third kit in August.

The inclusion of a silver crest and traditional collar adds a touch of elegance, suggesting that the design is aimed at versatility and global appeal. For travelling fans and those seeking a stylish, understated shirt, it could prove a hit.
In contrast, the third kit’s neon green and water droplet motif may divide opinion, much like some of PUMA’s past experiments. The grey base and vibrant sleeves signal a bolder, edgier look likely intended for European nights or high-profile away fixtures.
It remains to be seen how supporters will take to this eye-catching combination once seen in person — though previous third kits have grown in popularity over time, particularly with younger fans and collectors.
As for when fans can expect to get their hands on the new designs, the leaked timeline aligns with City’s upcoming pre-season activities. The away kit’s July launch would allow players to perhaps debut it against Palermo in the early August friendly meeting between the two clubs, while the third kit’s August release likely coincides with the start of the new campaign and UEFA competitions.
