Hakan Calhanoglu has started each of Inter’s last four matches across all competitions.

Meanwhile, Kristjan Asllani started against Parma last weekend in Serie A. However, the Albanian was suspended for first leg clashes with AC Milan in the Coppa Italia and Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Last Saturday, both Asllani and Calhanoglu started for Inter. This was something of a lineup experiment from Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi.

This evening against Cagliari, however, only one of the duo will start.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi could decide to give Calhanoglu a rest in this evening’s match.

In that case, Kristjan Asllani would be the one to get the nod.

However, the Corriere report, Inzaghi could decide to stick with Calhanoglu. The former AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen could be in the starting lineup for the fifth match in a row.
