“Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle):

“Excellent even though he was on the losing team, he was the heartbeat, made tackles and scored the goal to get his side back in the game.

“He was like a conductor, making sure everybody was playing to his tune and kept going – and he made Liverpool really sweat and worry.

“After losing Sandro Tonali and Joelinton, he made sure they kicked on again.

“I thought he was fantastic.”

No arguments from me on this Troy Deeney selection.

Bruno Guimaraes was absolutely outstanding, the best player on the pitch.
