FC Bayern would like to make a decision on Alphonso Davies soon. A transfer of the left-back to Real Madrid is still an issue. FCB apparently have suspicions regarding David Alaba in view of the Davies poker.

Is David Alaba trying to lure his former Bayern team-mate Alphonso Davies to Real Madrid? According to Sky, the German record champions are rumoured to be doing a lot to convince Alphonso Davies to move to Real Madrid in the summer.

Davies and Alaba are reportedly still good friends and are in contact. Both played together at FC Bayern from 2019 to 2021. Alaba then moved to the Whites on a free transfer. Is he now secretly lobbying to catch up with Davies?

Bayern want to avoid a scenario like Alaba’s with Davies at all costs. The now 31-year-old let his contract expire in Munich and then moved to Madrid without Bayern receiving a cent in transfer fees.

Bayern want a reasonable transfer fee for Davies

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayern still want Davies to sign a new contract. He should not leave for nothing. Davies‘ contract with FCB expires in the summer of 2025.

According to Romano, the positions in the poker game for the Canadian remain unchanged: If Davies does not extend his contract, Bayern will have to sell him in the summer in order to still receive a reasonable transfer fee from Real. Bayern would consider a price of around 60 million euros as such, but the Madrilenians do not want to pay this price.

Meanwhile, Real and Davies have apparently already agreed on the terms of a possible collaboration. Meanwhile, Bayern are putting pressure on Davies to extend his contract: according to Sky, the Munich bosses are expecting a decision from Davies this week as to whether he will accept their offer. He is said to have a contract ready to sign until 2029 with a total package of around €14 million gross per year.
