That means the third permanent manager search in just over a year and a half, with Kieran McKenna and Enzo Maresca the key targets, while Pochettino is of interest to Manchester United... and England. Vincent Kompany was considered but looks to be off to Bayern Munich. Liverpool already have a new manager in Arne Slot, who wants to make PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko his first signing.

Transfer-wise, Arsenal want a new striker with Alexander Isak the main target, but Ajax’s Brian Brobbey and RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko are considered more likely options.
