Tottenham Hotspur have reignited their efforts to sign Chelsea centre-back Axel Disasi (26) in a deadline day loan move bid, according to The Telegraph’s Matt Law. The France international initially turned down the opportunity to join Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs as he agreed personal terms with Aston Villa, which then led Spurs to look at alternative transfer targets. Now, it appears Tottenham have reportedly not given up hope of signing Disasi after agreeing a €5m fee to take Disasi on loan.
Disasi had been hopeful of leaving Chelsea before the end of the transfer window. The centre-back has been a captain for the club during their UEFA Europa Conference League campaign but has struggled for minutes outside of this competition, and has made only six appearances in the Premier League. The France international arrived in Chelsea from AS Monaco during the 2023 summer transfer window for a €45 million fee.
