Tottenham make new contact for Jonathan David | OneFootball

This week, it has become apparent that Jonathan David could be on his way to the Serie A but Tottenham are trying to stop that.

The striker’s contract with Lille has expired and he is now a free agent. Multiple clubs have been linked with his potential signature, with Juventus and Napoli actively trying to sign him.

According to sources contacted by Get Italian Football News, the talks between David’s entourage and both Juventus and Napoli have slowed down because of Tottenham’s fresh involvement in the race. They made contact for the forward last week and have stopped the two Italian sides from progressing in their respective moves for the Canada international.

Inter have also previously tried to sign David but their attempts have not lead to any concrete developments on this front.

Now, Tottenham are also back in the race and this can complicate the scenario further.
